New Dawn for care provision in Shropshire
A revolutionary new concept in
care homes is set to be launched in Craven Arms,
Shropshire.
Using expert support from high-growth
business support initiative Mustard.uk.com, New Dawn
Care is pioneering an £8 million project that
is set to revolutionise the way people aged 50 or
over are looked after through a combination of state-of-the-art
facilities and 24 hour progressive care.
George
Bowness, the brainchild
behind the development, explained:
“We are firmly committed
to providing a wide range of care services, together
with innovative methods of promoting independence
for our residents.
“The fact that we can offer
care in the comfort of residents’ own homes
within a village environment reflects both the changing
needs and expectations of care”
He continued: “Since being
granted full planning permission in June we expect
to be on site in August with the first phase of properties
being released within six months and the whole site
completed by late 2006”.
The site offers
panoramic views of South Shropshire and will include
landscaped gardens with a water feature, alongside
more unusual additions which will really help to
create the ’village’ atmosphere. These
include a 62-seater a-la carte restaurant,
lounge bar, cinema, library, IT suite, and hairdressing
salon with a complimentary treatment room.
“With the support from Mustard.uk.com
we’ve been able to develop a website and use
expert consultancy to influence our branding, such
as our corporate logo. This has been of real benefit,
as we’ve been able to raise awareness of the
plans for the complex and we’ve already received
enquiries from potential residents through the website,” continued
George.
John Loach, Business Link Advisor
for Shropshire is excited about the development: “The
New Dawn Care facility presents a fantastic opportunity
for the region, with current plans indicating that
at least 100 people will be employed here within
the next 18 months, with further growth expected.
“The firm is clearly passionate
about offering first class care within a village
that is well and truly integrated into the local
community.”
George concluded: “There
will be fifteen spacious 3-bed detached bungalows,
ten luxury 2-bed apartments and fifty en-suite rooms
within the care home. A further six, 3 bed bungalows
and six, 2 bed apartments are available for sale
or rent from South Shropshire Housing Association.”
Mustard.uk.com, which is working
closely with the Investment Readiness programme,
is entering its next generation of funding and has
